1/13/2024 0 Comments Kinematic viscosity testingKnowledge of Dynamic and Kinematic Viscosities is needed for the design of fluid transportation as well as heat and mass transfer systems. Viscosity is a material property of fluids and is influenced by factors such as molecular structure, intermolecular forces, fluid composition as well temperature and pressure. The Viscosity of a fluid is characterized by its resistance to flow. Viscosity is a fluid property that describes its internal resistance to shear stresses. This enables trace and ultra-trace elemental surface analysis of thin sample layers. Total Reflection X-rays Fluorescence (TXRF) utilizes total reflection of incident primary X-Rays, to enhance the intensity of Secondary (Fluorescent) X-rays emitted from a thin sample, placed on a polished carrier.
